August 24. St. BARTHOLOMEW, Apostle. The Virtues of Sincerity and Simplicity. BRIEF PROFILE St. Bartholomew was from Cana in Galilee. Mentioned in the Gospel as one of the twelve apostles, he is identified with Nathanael who was brought to Jesus by his friend, the apostle Philip.
