The mystery represents the three necessities – stairs, shroud, and sepulcher. It depicts Christ crucified and dead, our Sorrowful Mother with St. John, Mary Magdalene, Mary Salome, Mary of Cleophas, Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus, as well as the images of the crucified Good and the Bad Thieves.
