WHAT TO DO WHEN OUR PRAYERS
SEEM TO BE UNANSWERED?

“I have been praying for a long time for an intention, a good one at that, but it seems that God does not listen to me,” a comment which is frequent to hear from people in the confessional and spiritual direction…What to do then? Follow Pope Francis’ advice which you can read in the video.

We must pray to God with faith and abandonment, telling Him that if it is Will, we plead Him to grant our request. Perseverance and faith are necessary conditions for an efficacious prayer of petition. Nevertheless, we should tell Our Lord: “Lord, you know what is best for me, for my loved ones, for this or that difficult situation. I ask you to grant my petition, but if You think otherwise, I abide by your Holy Will, since I believe that your ways are different from ours: may your most Holy Will be done, be praised and glorified!”
