DROWN EVIL WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF GOOD!
We find evil within us (our inclination to sin) and around us (injustices, eroticized society, violence, corruption, wars and the list goes on…and sometimes, without knowing it, evil seeps into us inadvertently such that it affects our mindset influenced by what the majority does. What to do then?
Pope Francis in a recent tweet said: “If evil is contagious, so is goodness. Let us be infected by goodness and let us spread goodness!”
Dear brethren in Christ, let us not allow ourselves to be infected by evil in our surroundings. For this we have to strive to do what God wants from each one of us, to do what is morally good. We need to carry within us the light and life of Christ so that as his faithful instruments, we can drown evil with an abundance of good (St. Josemaria).
