Pope. Love, pray and mortify

OUR LOVE FOR THE POPE MUST BE TRANSLATED
INTO DAILY PRAYERS AND SACRIFICES FOR HIM.

Recently, Pope Francis tweeted, “During this month my audiences are suspended, but I do not stop praying for you, while I ask that you please pray for me!”

I recalled St. Josemaria’s words inculcating his spiritual children to love and venerate the Pope through concrete deeds. He said:

“You must love, venerate, pray and mortify yourself for the Pope, and do so with greater affection each day. For he is the foundation stone of the Church and, throughout the centuries, right to the end of time, he carries out among men that task of sanctifying and governing which Jesus entrusted to Peter.”
St. Josemaria, “The Forge,” n. 134.

Do we pray for the Pope and offer sacrifices for him daily?
