BREAKING NEWS: FR. TOM ALIVE! URGENT PRAYERS FOR FR. TOM
Dear brethren in Christ, after initial unconfirmed reports that allegedly said that Fr. Tom was crucified by radical terrorists last Good Friday, at least two recent news sources state that the Indian priest is still alive.
According to one source, the Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said that Fr. Tom “is alive, safe, and efforts are being organized for his release.”
Likewise, another journalist based on Dubai, UAE said that “negotiations to free Fr. Tom Uzhunnalil are ongoing and that officials are hopeful they can secure his release.
A statement released on April 2, reveals that the Catholic Bishops Conference of India, has met with the Indian Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, who assured the gathered bishops that Fr. Tom is safe and the rumors surrounding his crucifixion at the hands of the terrorists who took him hostage are “totally baseless.”
Father Joseph Chinnaiyan said of the meeting, “She [Minister Swaraj] has assured us Father Tom is safe and negotiations are on for his release which could happen very soon.”
The Indian government is also bringing home Sister Rema, the only nun to survive the terror attack. Sr. Rema survived by hiding behind a door and was miraculously and repeatedly overlooked by terrorists who were searching for her to kill her.”
Hence, at this moment, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT AND URGENT TO KEEP ON PRAYING FOR THE SAFE RETURN OF FR. TOM AND SR. REMA as we mentioned in a previous post. The prayers of countless faithful are instrumental in preserving their lives. Let us also pray so that peace may reign and love may triumph in the hearts of all men and women of goodwill. MARTYRS OF YEMEN, PRAY FOR THEM, PRAY FOR US!
